Do you have a staff sickness, productivity or retention problem? Want to offer staff wellbeing services and not sure where to start?

Investing in staff wellbeing is no longer an optional extra. How your staff perform is directly affected by their physical and mental health. Using the latest evidence in health and behaviour change, this practical one day course will help your staff change their habits and mindset, and help you create a motivated and inspired workforce.

Mental health is an integral part of our general health and well-being and a basic human right.

What's involved?

09.00 - 10.30
Exploring our own health & wellbeing
Your first session of the day will enable you to identify what areas of your life might need some TLC through a ‘health wheel’ exercise, and explain why our diet and our gut-brain connection is so important for our mood and focus, as well as for our bodies.
15.15 - 16.30
Sleep, movement & food diaries
We’ll work through a sleep quiz, explore your relationship with your body clock and come up with an action plan for improved quality of sleep. You’ll plan your exercise regime in relation to your goals and help you find a sustainable way to get moving.
10.45 - 12.30
Motivation & exploring stress
Together we’ll explore motivation, and help you put this into practice through journaling. Think you can recognise the signs of stress, anxiety and depression in yourself or a colleague? Want to do something about it before it gets to breaking point?
13.30 - 15.00
Avoiding the afternoon slump, food tasting & positive coping strategies
Need a pick me up of sugar or caffeine in the afternoon to power on through? How does this affect our focus, energy and waistlines? Enjoy some healthy treats to bring alive those taste buds, and work on a pitch for your own healthy menu, with a prize for the best contribution.
16.30 - 17.00

Your motivation to change and the actions needed to work towards health will all be different, however we can all commit to that next step in our health journey. What does your future look like? 

 

Time for some final questions before you take your resources pack home to continue your learning. It is also an option for strategic 1:1 sessions for staff members to keep up their new habits.

Julie Pichler

As a nutritional therapist having trained with the esteemed Institute of Optimum Nutrition, I am passionate about balancing the physical needs of the body with a pace of change in habits around food that feels achievable and sustainable.  

 

Prior to training in nutrition, I worked in financial services for over 20 years, a sector where stress can often be worn as a badge of honour, and the impact of stress is so often underestimated.  

 

Our biochemistry, genes and life story all provide clues waiting to be uncovered.  Our brains and minds are exquisitely linked to our bodies through nerves, hormones, immune cells and bacteria.   We are what we eat, and our brain is no different in being helped or hindered by our food choices.  I can't wait to share these insights with you, so you can start your own new path of discovery and healing. Hi, I’m a Mum of two boys, big fan of continuous learning and I’m your health coach on this fantastic programme. 

I support clients to help them achieve a range of health goals from weight loss to confidence building, managing chronic illness, and improving sleep and energy levels, as well as many others.

 

I LOVE seeing the light bulb moments for people during sessions, which kick start some really positive changes – both personally and across their health and wellbeing.

Just so that you know, coaching is not counselling, so we won't be unpicking your past during this programme, but instead helping you to formulate a plan to move you forward to where you’d like to be, ensuring you have the motivation, and tools to get you there.
